Not Another Kidney Stone

Kidney cancer has the 8th highest incidence rate in Canada, with the 12th highest mortality. The probability of dying from kidney cancer is less than 1% in both men and women. The 5-year (relative) survival is 68%1.

The Kid in Kidney

Renal tumours make up about 5% of children's cancers (age 0-14)2; the most common kidney tumour in young children is the Wilms' tumour, which develops from immature kidney cells3. It is usually found in children aged 2-4.
