What's in a name?

Petalody [ PET • l • oh • dee ] Noun (Botany): a condition in flowers in which non-petal parts transform and assume the appearance and function of petals This site was created for one purpose, and that was to inspire fellow crafters (and hey, non-crafters too!). Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves that the world can be a beautiful place. When you can't find it, you can make it instead! So, if you are a DIY-er looking for a paper flower, a quick craft, or a cupcake for a party, you have come to the right place!

If you're crafty and you know it... Hey! I'm Bianca, and I love both arts and sciences. My inquisitive side seeks intelligence in health and medicine, but my inner artisan demands the kind of creative expression that cannot be satisfied in a laboratory. Instead, I spend my time beading, baking, painting, sculpting, cooking, designing, crocheting, sketching, writing, mixed-media-putting-together-anything- I-can-find-to-make-something-beautiful-ing, or paper folding.
