Battered Bladder

Bladder cancer has the fifth highest incidence and ranks eighth on cancer mortality. The risk of developing bladder cancer is much higher in men than in women (1 in 27 versus 1 in 79, respectively)¹, but smoking accounts for about half of cases in both men and women². The 5-year (relative) survival is 74% for bladder cancer¹.
